The next SAKMCF “National KMC Workshop” will be happening 11 – 13 March 2018.
We will coordinate with Perinatal Priorities, which meets 13 – 16 March 2018.
We are thankful for Elise van Rooyen and Anne-Marie Bergh, from Kalafong, Pretoria, who are the primary hosts for this meeting.
Natasha Rhoda and Nils Bergman are supporting them from the SAKMCF.
WHAT IS THE “SAKMCF”?
It is a formally registered non-profit making body run by Trustees. The foundation has contacts with national and international bodies that practice and promote KMC in Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas.
OBJECTIVES OF SAKMCF
To promote early and prolonged skin-to-skin care for newborn babies.
To facilitate education of healthcare workers in KMC.
To promote and support KMC within all communities in Southern Africa.
WHO CAN BECOME A MEMBER?
Membership is free to individuals and groups with a special interest in KMC.
